Void the TaxFolder Signature Request Email

If you need to void the signature request email to a client, you can do this from TaxCycle or TaxFolder. 

Void Request From TaxCycle

  1. Open the form or letter in TaxCycle. In the blue bar at the top of the form, click the Void link.Screen Capture: Void Request in TaxCycle
  2. In the pop-up window, click OK to void the signature request(s).Screen Capture: Void Signature Request in TaxCycle 
  3. Click OK again.

  4. When viewing the form in TaxCycle, the bar at the top of the form will now display the date and time the request was voided, as well as the reason. You can click View to open and view the now-voided document. If the document is printed, it does not print the "Voided" note in the signature line.Screen Capture: Voided Document in TaxCycle

Void Request From TaxFolder

  1. On the Client Dashboard, click on the client’s name to open their record.

  2. On the client’s record, make sure to select the engagement that contains the documents you wish to void.

  3. In the Engagement Status section, click the arrow next to View Original to the right of the document and select Void Document from the drop-down menu. You can also select Mark Approvals Complete if the request is being signed in person. This updates the request in TaxCycle and removes the note in the signature line.   4. In the pop-up window, select the Reason for voiding the document from the drop-down menu. 
  5. Add any additional comments if applicable.
  6. Click Void to send the client a notification that the document is voided along with the reason and comments.
