Learn how to navigate to the location of the XML file so you can save it and manually upload it for filing if you need to.
When you click on the Transmit now! link to file tax slips or summaries with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), TaxCycle opens a new window and connects to the Internet file transfer application on the CRA’s website. You can find the XML File Location in this window. (Note that the XML file is created and added to the AppData folder once you start the transmission process in TaxCycle. Windows automatically deletes the file if you cancel the transmission attempt.)
Click the copy button next to the file path in the sidebar to put it on your clipboard. Remember to remove the .xml file name (highlighted in yellow) from the end of the path before pasting it. For example, paste only C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Local\Trilogy\Temp\. This will allow you to see the XML file in the folder.
Paste the file path in the File Explorer window. You will find the XML file in this location.
