Save, Folder and File Options

Updated: 2024-09-25

DoxCycle stores all the documents into a single, standard, multi-page PDF file which can be opened later by any standard PDF reader, like Adobe Reader.

Press Ctrl+S or click the Save button regularly as you work to save your changes.

You can save files to your local computer or to a network drive. However you must have write permissions to save to a network folder. You can keep the files separate from your TaxCycle files or in the same folder. It’s up to you. TaxCycle and DoxCycle both store the full path to the linked file.

Save DoxCycle and TaxCycle Files at the Same Time

  1. To open Options from the Start screen, click Options in the green bar on the left side. If you have a file open, go to the File menu, then click Options.
  2. On the left side of the dialog box, expand the DoxCycle section, then click on Sharing.
  3. Check Automatically save linked TaxCycle file(s) when saving DoxCycle file and DoxCycle will also save each DoxCycle file that is currently open.
  4. If you check the option to Automatically close linked TaxCycle file(s) when closing DoxCycle file, DoxCycle will only close the file without prompting you to save it when there are no changes in it.
  5. Click OK to save your changes.
