On September 19, 2023, we deployed an update to TaxFolder that includes several improvements and fixes.
Enhancements
New! Added a column to the “In Progress” tab in the Preparer Dashboard to show the total of all uploaded client files that have not been marked as “Used” in the Client Files section of an engagement. This helps improve tracking when clients upload new files that have not yet been reviewed.
New! Added a Time Zone field in the Organization settings to allow firms to set a preferred time zone for dates shown on signed and approved documents.
The Preparername now appears on the History page for events related to deleted and restored users.
Implemented various technical updates to ensure TaxFolder remains secure.
Resolved Issues
Customer Reported Resolved an issue where clicking on a name from the Client List in the Preparer Dashboard triggered an “Engagement not found” error. This occurred in some cases when an engagement was deleted but other engagements existed.
Customer Reported Fixed an error that occurred after uploading, deleting and then trying to re-upload a firm logo.
Customer Reported Resolved an issue related to UK area codes.
Customer Reported Fixed the search on the “In Progress” tab to filter for partial characters and show engagements where the label contains a middle initial.
Fixed an issue where the Zip file name for client file downloads contained extraneous characters.
Resolved an issue where TaxFolder did not send the email notification to “Request client documents” for engagements created with no preparer assigned.
