On March 13, 2025, we deployed an update to TaxFolder that included the following improvements and fixes:
Licensing Update
New! Added messaging in TaxFolder (and TaxCycle) for when the active clients limit is reached. Also added a link to purchase additional licenses.
Customer Requests
New! Added a new signature reminder option in Client Notification settings to send an email to clients at specified intervals reminding them to sign or approve a document if they have not done so yet.
TaxFolder now retains the sort order selected in the TaxFolder Dashboard every time you log in.
Resolved Issues
Customer Reported Engagements in the Client Portal now show the TaxCycle module type. Emails to clients now also show the tax year for the engagement.
Resolved an issue where the search box on the History page was not working as expected.
Customer Reported Firm creation in TaxFolder now correctly redirects to a “license is required” page if you attempt to create a firm with an email address that does not have an associated TaxFolder license.
Resolved an issue when creating a signature request in TaxFolder related to the placement of the menu that appears when hovering over a signature or date field for documents with multiple signatures.
Customer Reported Fixed an error that occurred in some instances when updating the status of an engagement.
Customer Reported Fixed an issue where the option to receive a phone call for clients with VOIP phones was not appearing after validating the phone number for a signature or approval request.
Customer Reported Updated the “I’m Done” button in the Client Portal to check if there is at least one file uploaded before allowing a notification to be sent to the preparer.
