TaxFolder Update (July 2, 2024)

On July 2, 2024, we deployed an update to TaxFolder that includes the following improvements and fixes to customer-reported issues.

Enhancements

  • All preparer areas of TaxFolder (except the firm creation page) are now available in both French and English. 
  • Added a new connection status icon in team settings to show whether or not a staff member has connected their TaxCycle account to the TaxFolder firm. The icon is red when not connected but turns green when the staff member connects their account. You can click on the email button next to the status icon to resend the invitation email to the staff member. Screen Capture: Staff connection status icon

Resolved Issues

  • Customer Reported Resolved an issue where the MR-69 authorization form was being rejected due to the signature sitting too high in the signature box. Updated the signature box so all signatures for all forms will now sit closer to the signature line.
  • Customer Reported Resolved an issue where TaxFolder did not send a notification to the firm owner when a client selected the “I’m finished” button in the Client Portal and no preparer was assigned to the engagement.
  • Customer Reported Added additional handling to prevent staff from resending or editing a document that is still being processed as part of a prior request.
  • Customer Reported Improved the error message page that appears when a client tries to access a TaxFolder portal when not connected to TaxFolder or without following the link in the invitation email.
  • Resolved an issue where the Document Status column under the In Progress tab was not sorting properly.
  • Set the default timeframe for the History page to the last 7 days to improve page load speed.
  • Resolved a display issue where the client menu was hidden when the Client List only contained a few clients.
